Crave by Melissa Darnell Review

Paperback416 pages
Published October 25th 2011 by Harlequin Teen

From Goodreads:

Savannah Colbert has never known why she's so hated by the kids of the Clann. Nor can she deny her instinct to get close to Clann golden boy Tristan Coleman. Especially when she recovers from a strange illness and the attraction becomes nearly irresistible. It's as if he's a magnet, pulling her gaze, her thoughts, even her dreams. Her family has warned her to have nothing to do with him, or any members of the Clann. But when Tristan is suddenly everywhere she goes, Savannah fears she's destined to fail.
For years, Tristan has been forbidden to even speak to Savannah Colbert. Then Savannah disappears from school for a week and comes back…different, and suddenly he can't stay away. Boys seem intoxicated just from looking at her. His own family becomes stricter than ever. And Tristan has to fight his own urge to protect her, to be near her no matter the consequences….

Review:

I enjoyed reading Crave, and the cover is beautiful! It is a great love story with that forbidden element thrown in. The story is original which is hard to do when dealing with vampires but she worked it! Savannah has problems starting in 4th grade when all of her best friends *especially Tristan* are forbidden to play or talk to her EVER. On top of that she has a dad who is never around and calls only every once in awhile. Broken girl? She can hold her own. She has some close friends and is a strong girl.

I also love that we get Tristan's side of things. You can see how differently people, teenagers, in general take a situation and see totally different things. Tristan is a great guy, nice to everyone and a strong leader. Stands up for what he thinks is right and wrong *swoon*.

When they get together good and bad comes crashing in. I'm not telling the secret to the Clann or anything. You must read it and discover it yourself.

  1. I love the cover of this book. I think I want to read it just because it's so pretty. I def. want to at least make a little teaser trailer for it someday.

    It sounds pretty good.

Maybe it's just because we are getting into the holiday season... but when I read this..
